On telly he comes across as a nice bloke* and it's mildly engaging.

But this programme, it's like something off the ITV afternoon schedule in the mid-1970's...

Has there ever been a cheaper-to-make TV programme in the modern era?

*not what I've heard from some of those those who know him btw

I quite enjoyed it but I was disappointed that he didn't show us how to reassemble the recoil starter mechanism.

Check out some of the linking pieces on the music channel 'keep it country'. That's cheap tv.

Channel Five does a bunch of shows that are essentially montages of videos from YouTube.

I doubt that has much production beyond someone downloading and editing the clips, and then getting someone in for voice over to tie it all together.

And the handle grips, the roller axle and the cutting blades were already assembled. This programme is a sham of a sham.

University Challenge is amazingly cheap. No big prizes to give out, no appearance fees (except for Paxo), cheap set, two cameras and virtually no editing. There can't be many cheaper
