Does anyone find a considerable delay with NOWTV against a dish, found can be up to a minute. Does buffering really take that long? Same with Seagulls player, is this deliberate?

Its not great when you get a text from someone else telling you there's a goal...

Delay looking at your texts accordingly, problem solved.

Thinking about ditching Sky and going to NOWTV, is it any good?

Its almost SD broadcast quality if you use decent CAT5 cable, except for the delay

Think about what is happening to NowTV vs satellite and that will explain it! You'd be surprised in what actually happens and the trip it takes

If you're suggesting the data takes a minute to go down all the wires to your Now TV box, I'm fairly certainly you're completely wrong. Think about VOIP telephone calls. Practically instant data transfer, similar length of trip.

except a lot more data and alot more error checking to perform. the actual link may not take long but if there's several dozen re-requests to get data resent on a bad line, delays in server response... i can see it adding up. a minute does sound long though.
