Albion currently sit top of the Premier League Southern Division table with 45 points from 19 games, heading into this afternoon’s match against C&K Basildon at Canvey Island.

James Marrs’s side know that three wins will guarantee the title and a place in the end-of-season play-off match to contest a place in Women’s Super League Two (WSL2) for 2017.

She told seagulls.co.uk, “We’re looking forward to going back into the league campaign with the first of three really important games for us.

“It’s going to be a really tough game, they will come out battling like they did in the first game.

“We’ve been in this position before and it’s not one we take lightly. We’ve got to win the next three games. The pressure is on and hopefully we can rise to the challenge.”

Albion head into Sunday’s game following only their fourth defeat of the season in all competitions, a 4-3 loss to Sporting Club Albion in the Women's FA Cup - a result which Blackie and the squad are eager to erase.

“We know where we went wrong last week as players and staff. I have never seen us put in a first-half performance like that and I wouldn’t expect us to do that ever again.
