Yep, one of the last of the true Olympic heroic failures. The 'blazers' don't come out of Eddie's story very well either.

Just the name Eddie 'the eagle' Edwards still makes me laugh, waving from the top of the jump, the world watching and being carried off on a stretcher, so very British, pissed myself laughing.

I'm tempted to see it especially after Batman Vs Superman was absolutely slammed by the critics ...might have to give it a miss and see Eddie instead.
Is it a decent enough film for the (preteen) kids, or more of a nostalgiafest?
