There is so much bollocks in that article it's hard to know where to start. The clue to the ignorance of the author is the start of the article suggesting a for sale sign being banged into your flower bed ..... cleasrly the author doesn't even know the difference between private and public land. That makes the rest of the rant somewhat pathetic, political and utter clap trap.

The HS2, when eventually built, will run within half a mile of my allotment.
It's a bit worrying, especially when you see men in hi vis doing a lot of pointing and measuring in the locale.
Have contacted local council about any planned builds, but nothing in the pipeline.
Will watch and wait.

i'm curious why private companies would want to develop on others or public land, as its the cost of land and gaining permission to develop it that adds all the value.

though selling the Land Registry does seem an unnecessary divestment of the state, which i think was what it wanted to draw our attention to.
