Would you rather be one point ahead like us, or have a game in hand like Boro ?

The former.

I'd rather have the points in the bank at this stage.

In this league where anyone can beat anyone, then points on the board have gotta be better all day long !

Towards the top a game in hand towards the bottom the points.

Teams toeards the top will be ysed to winning and would expect to make up the ground from the game in hand.

The converse is true in a relegation fight.

I'd take a 2 point lead but a game in hand for a top end side has to be better than one point - particularly as a draw takes them above us on goal difference.

Its a silly question really. It depends what happens when the game in hand is played.

Always been a great believer in "points in the bag"
Points in the bag, especially with an inferior goal difference
My Dad always said points in hand, are better than games in hand.
Are you all bloody shitfaced?

Points in the ****ing bag my arse. I'd rather have 3 points in the bag than a game in hand, sure, but 1? 1 measly ****ing point! Using your infant school logic you'd rather have 2 points in the bag than 5 games in hand.

I can guarantee you this - in the remaining fixtures we'll need more than 1 point per game average if we're to finish in the top two. 79 points will not see us in the top two. So of course 1 shitty little point isn't worth a game in hand.

I despair at the intelligence North Stand Chat has to offer sometimes, it's depressing.

I guess a lot would depend on who the game in hand was against. If it were against Charlton or Bolton for example, then yes, I guess I'd prefer the game in hand.
