West...West.......WEST SUSSEX
So what does that mean? Over 95% have renewed this time so how many season ticket holders will we have next season? (to date)........My figure would be approx 20k.

Season tickets will be 100% sold out if we get promoted. If we don't, 95% renewed is fantastic.

Well it just says that we had a few thousand plastics, one bad season and they were gone but we still have a core of around 20,000 passionate BHA fans. Quality

Suspect the numbers quoted are for standard season tickets. Be interesting to review the figures in 10 days' time when the 1901 renewals close

Why would you be labelled 'plastic' if you bought a season ticket. You're putting the best part of £500 into the club's coffers. To me that shows a commitment to supporting the club in the best way possible. I know of a couple of friends who were season ticket holders but could not attend most of the games for work related reasons, and thus did not renew. They've followed the Albion for over twenty years - hardly plastic fans eh?

It means at least 6k from Withdean days are shit scared of missing out on Premier League to a JCL after watching some right old shit in even worse conditions for longer than any fans should have been asked to!

Hang on, don't we only have 8k actual fans and we couldn't fill Withdean either could we? Also our away support is crap isn't it?

Hello Melanie Pornstar or Norman Baker. You appear to have hacked BBs account! :)

Yeah but it's no coincidence that a fairly big drop occurred following a bad season. Hardly die hard fans were they. Maybe a few of them were for other reasons

What was the big drop? Are you meaning the casual fans? There have been roughly 4 or 5 thousand of those since 2011.

We've had approx 21K season ticket holders since the Amex opened. The normal renewal rate is 90% due to death, moving, jobs etc, but this month the renewal rate is 95%.

I sit in WSL unfortunately, good view but it's a bit dead. I get worked up during a game sometimes because I have passion for this team and what may or may not happen. One game recently, I was ranting at the ref or a player or whatever, someone behind me chirps up, "it's only a game" No it's not just a game, it means a lot whether we can finish in the top two spots or not, it would be life changing, I would love to experience the elation of promotion to the top flight. If some people are there for the experience but when it's not going well they clear off, it's up to them but I wouldn't consider them particularly passionate fans

86.7% last year according to Paul Barber: http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?321397-86-7-season-ticket-renewals

The Football League figures for us are:
2011/12: 17,617
2012/13: 22,467
2013/14: 23,175
2014/15: 21,245

Extrapolating from the 2014/15 figure and the 86.7% renewal rate, would put us at around 18,400 at the beginning of this season, although we have the "record sales of half-season tickets" crowd to add to that.

We've got a good support on the whole, no doubt and that's great.

The West is the an old mans stand, the WSL is for the really old men who can't manage the stairs.

Yeah too true, I've already told my Dad, who I sit with that I should move to the North stand, where you're not looked down on for being passionate about your club. We will have to part ways :)

Maybe . . . either way we have a massive hard core following. 20,000+ season ticket holders for a Championship side is pretty impressive.

YEAH, quite agree, it's fantastic. We all deserve something great and hopefully it's coming, it should be our turn, doesn't mean it's going to happen but we bloody deserve it

Home fans average is 23,849 (away fans average is only about 1,000, 20th in the Championship). Lowest gate is 21,397 (includes away fans) v Rotherham.

Lowest gate since Christmas is Reading 23,418.

We still do not know how many half season ticket holders. Wild guess (2,000 + 18,400) x 95% = 19,380. This totally excludes new season ticket holders though.

Or gates have only gone down 3% this season. This figure would give season ticket holders of 22,450.

Split the difference arrives at a figure of 20,955.

PS: I only sent off my renewal DD authorisation today. EMail was late. Does that put me in the 5%. Probably not.
