For our oldest Granddaughter's treat before going to secondary school, we paid for her to be a Captain's mascot.
Sadly her sister isn't bothered about football. Any suggestions for a day out in London with maybe an overnight stay please?

Edit half term week october 2016

Stripclub in Shoreditch?

Oops just seen the daughter bit, rather than the assumed son by me! Maybe not then.

I know it's controversial but The Natural History Museum is bollox.
It's as old and as tired as the Caveman exhibition.

Irrespective of her interests The Science Museum is fantastic.

Oh and the stage production of The Railway Children is an excellent production.

My visit to the Science museum last year found me completely underwhelmed.

As my suggestion of what to do - go see the show Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I agree, it should be the nations showpiece museum, and it probably was when I first went in the late 70's.
But the fact that it had hardly changed since then on my last visit 18 months ago, is a crying shame.

Since then I've taken my 2 pre-teen children to The Science Museum twice, and there just hasn't been enough hours in the day to do it justice.

If you are lucky enough that one of these games falls on that weekend then 1 of these choices.
Arsenal v Brighton
West Ham v Brighton
Spurs v Brighton
Chelsea v Brighton
(Palace v Brighton) put this one on hold for now

Just seen not bothered about football, then The London Dungeon is possibly the best attraction in London.

See, for me that's a big part of the attraction of the place - I love that I can go there now and it be largely the same as it was when I first went there on a primary school trip. Maybe it's just me but there's a comfort and a nostalgia to it that I just love and probably always will.

Go to Westminster, go on the Eye, get on a river boat down the Tower of London. Not too far to walk in any direction but three very different experiences.

London Eye or the Shard are good.during the day plus perhaps a trip on the river and then finish off with a show. Would recommend Wicked if you can get tickets.
