Where most people thinking of drinking tomorrow? Seems like either boozers by Bletchley or Fenny Stratford station. Apparently places near the grounds ain't gonna let away fans in.

Fenny Stratford for us by the looks of it. 15 minute walk to the ground. Red Lion pub by station and probably more variety than other locations .

The Red Lion ( not exactly by the station ) will have a 50 deep queue at the bar, and is tiny. Thankfully there is other pubs in Fenny Stratford if you don't want to wait 45 minutes for a beer.

The proliferation of threads on this topic is due to the unusual slight trickiness of what is normally more straightforward...

I am getting a lift and the driver has booked a parking space "at the ground" (for £5).

I like the sound of Fenny Stratford. To be restricted to the vicinity of the ground seems to be not a good option. Considering advising us getting parked up at the ground and getting a cab somewhere (not to the Red Lion and its 50 deep queue) - few beers and then join the army that will march on Stadium MK...

Red Lion, Fenny Stratford. Just after 12ish.

Although expecting to have to buy a large round in and take them outside, rather than queuing 45 minutes for a pint.

Seems like the one. Take it they'll be showing Arsenal.

Milton Keynes Central a write off then?

Apart from a pretty shit spoons half way up the 'Boulevard', there's nothing there. It's also much further from the ground. Oh, and most people will be getting off at Bletchley with the Southern Daysave train ticket.

Does anyone know if we'll be able to get a beer in the ground before the game / at half time yet?

It used to be possible to go in the big bar at the stadium, but this is now home fans only.

Previously there were screens around the concourse bars so beer could be served, but no idea if these are still there.

It's looking like tinnies from ASDA in the carpark is the best option ( although there is probably a local exclusion preventing this :lolol: )

I always preferred Stony Stratford,... awash with good boozers and only 10 min drive to the ground.

Those going by car should really drive 8 miles or so north to Stony Stratford and have a few beers in The Cock and The Bull in the High Street, the origins of the phrase "cock and bull story". Then you can bore everyone with that interesting fact, punctuated with "i was there".
