Albion's manager believes Reading will be eager to bounce back

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton is wary of the threat from Reading, following their FA Cup exit, going into tonight’s game. The Royals were knocked out of the competition on Friday after a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace and Hughton expects the Royals to be eager to avenge that result at the Amex.
He said, “Reading had a disappointing exit from the FA Cup, but not with regard to the performance, as I was at the game and certainly thought they had the best chance of the game through [Ola] John with the far-post header.
“They did brilliantly to get to that stage of the FA Cup and they will want to get back to winning ways in the league and see where it takes them.
“They have a great squad and will want to win on Tuesday.”

The Seagulls have two matches before the next international break and Hughton stressed the importance of heading into that period in good form.“You want to go into an international break on the back of good results.
“As regards to the magnitude of games, there is no doubt that in the latter part of the season, the games get bigger and bigger."
The Albion boss also praised goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa for his latest call-up to the Finland squad and for performing well whenever called upon.
“I don’t know if he is the best [second-choice keeper] because there are a lot of quality keepers in this division.
“He is a very good keeper though and has played a great role in the squad; he has kept [David] Stockdale on his feet and has played his part when called into action.
“Unfortunately for him, [David] Stockdale has been in terrific form and hasn’t been injured.”
