He would get them back on the road in time for the play offs especiaĺly if his wife played instead of Darren Bent as she is a better goalscorer, so he said.

Who'd be a toilet cleaner in Leicester right now? If they're not shitting themselves at the top of the Prem they're pissing themselves at the plight of neighbours Derby and Forest.

So this is The Derby Way? None of this makes any sense. Either:

a) You sack Clement and appoint Redknapp as manager, or
b) You sack Clement and bring in someone decent as manager, or
c) You sack Wassall and appoint Redknapp as manager?

Surely by sticking with rubbish Wassall but paying 'Arry his promotion bonus-laden wedge they've ended up with a very expensive, very risky short-term option. Given 'Arry's health and the distance involved he could bail out after a few weeks and really screw them up.

Could be a good move in the short term. He is a good motivator and more importantly a lucky manager. Would you let him loose with the budget would you hell, but managing a club with a lot of big name players needs a manager capable of massaging egos and a big name in themselves. I could see it working for the rest of the season...

"Senior Advisory Role in the coaching team"

No input to transfers

To be fair he's only there till the end of the season and the transfer window is closed. So Derby should only finish about £80million in debt after Redknapp sets up a bank account in his guinea pigs name and employees it as a fitness coach.
