Brighton and Hove Albion’s under 18s side drew 3-3 with Southampton at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on Saturday.

Danny Mandroiu’s strike and a brace from Reece Meekums put Albion 3-0 up, but three Southampton goals in the last 15 minutes from Dan N’Lundulu, Harley Willard and a Sam Rolph own-goal ensured Saints claimed a share of the spoils.Albion took the lead in the 20th minute, when Mandroiu’s free-kick missed everyone in the Southampton box and went straight in to the back of the net.
The lead was extended after Meekums slotted the ball past Harry Lewis in the Southampton goal to double the lead in the 33rd minute.

Meekums added his second and the Albion’s third with a clinical finish just past the hour mark, after he beat two defenders to give Brighton a clear lead.Southampton grabbed a goal back after a defensive mix up, to let N’Lundulu in to finish.
The deficit was reduced to two when Sam Rolph but the ball into his own net from close range with six minutes of normal time remaining.
But it was heartbreak for Albion, as Willard scored from a free-kick in stoppage time to level the scores.
The result leaves Albion level on points with league leaders Derby and third place Manchester United, who the Seagulls face on Friday.
