MOM Tannoi Announcement

Last night caused me to wonder if Players hear themselves being announced as the Sponsors man of the Match.

I found it really ironic that less than a minute after being announced as MOM that Connor Goldson made an absolutely dreadful pass which could have led to a goal. The lad quite rightly got the accolade as I thought he was excellent again but part of me wondered if he heard the announcement and whilst smarting, he briefly lost concentration.

There is probably no right or wrong answer to this but just wondered about peoples thoughts on it ?

No, Connor's just learning the game and having taken note of the way Dunk always gifts the opposition a goal scoring chance a game, no matter how well he is playing, Connor took the opportunity to try his hand at it

Can't understand why the announcement is usually made with over ten minutes actual play left. Surely the pa could wait until injury time.

Money money money, the sponsors want it announced whilst everyone is in the stadium.

It should be made with a minute to go though.

Have you noticed that even the amount of injury time that is going to be added on at the end of the match, now has its own sponsor? It is announced that "There will be a minimum of 4 added minutes, in association with Watch Religion (I thought this was a religion channel on Sky the first time I heard it)". What ever next?

Yes, it almost needs it own thread that one. Very Derby County, who sponsor everything.

Just a matter of time before the substitutions are sponsored as well.

Thought this was just my imagination, fueled by the wind and rain there... all quite bizarre really.

Can't remember which away ground I first heard this happening and I thought them "please don't let us go that far".

How long before "and a yellow card, sponsored by Yellow Top Taxis, to Berem Kayal" and "the red card sponsored by red letter escort agencies goes to Lewis Dunk"
