On Sunday.
Think, for those who are of a certain age - and certainly anyone who is a parent - that grey day in 1996 will have touched us all.
As a Brighton exile, living and working very close to Dunblane at the time, it always remains with me.
Maybe, the ONLY positive to come out of that day is much tighter gun control in this country.
I am sure there will be many more better written pieces published over this coming weekend, but for what it's worth this is my personal memory.

I wonder how many mass shooting America has had in these subsequent 20 years.

Both Jamie and Andy Murray were in the school at the time. Andy has spoken a little bit about his experience, but found it hard.

Strangely until this was posted I had forgotten all about this incident. When thinking of terrible acts in Scotland the first and only one I recall is Lockerbie which is probably down to the fact that it was a terrorist act and it has remained in the news over the years.

Dark days but thanfully very rare in the UK.

I was 'just down the road' in Austin Texas, when this happened:-

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luby's_shooting

To see Texan Senator Ted Cruz 'make' machine gun bacon, 25 years later, makes a mockery of the 23 lives lost.
(Not to mention the thousands of other Texans that have died since then)
