Albion*produced another four-star performance to wipe away the low point of the season.
They hammered Leeds 4-0 at the Amex last night with four goals in 20 minutes in the first half after winning at Bristol City last week by the same score.
The stunning response to the 4-1 defeat at Cardiff ten days ago means Chris Hughton’s side remain right in the hunt for automatic promotion from the Championship.
They are still fourth following a sixth victory in eight matches but only two points divide the Seagulls, Middlesbrough, Hull and leaders Burnley.
Hughton’s team are also now 11 points clear of Cardiff in seventh, leaving them in rock-solid shape to secure at least a play-off spot with 12 games to go.

He told The Argus: “Testament to this group of lads. We had one other response after the Rotherham game, went to Blackburn which is a very difficult place to go and won 1-0.
“That was different, a tighter game. The reaction (to Cardiff) has been very good. It demonstrates how that defeat hurt them.
“They were desperate to make amends and they couldn’t have done it any better.”
The last time Albion scored four goals by half-time was in the League Cup against Barnet at Withdean in August 2008, when they also won 4-0.
Kazenga LuaLua, not included last night, should be fit to face Preston on Saturday.
Middlesbrough, a point above Albion in third, play one of their two games in hand at Blackburn tonight.
