The Albion manager was full of praise for the Israeli international.
His fortunes have turned at the minute and he’s got us some goals."

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton hailed Tomer Hemed for bouncing back from a tough spell earlier in the season after the* striker bagged a brace against Leeds United last night.
*
The Israeli international scored his tenth and 11th goals of the season in a comprehensive* 4-0 victory and Hughton praised his work ethic.
*
He said, “I’m really delighted for Tomer because you can go through a difficult period where you’re not scoring goals, and what he has done throughout that period is work hard.
*
“His fortunes have turned at the minute and he’s got us some goals. Long may that continue.
*
“He’s a lad that really wants to do well and continues to work hard for the team. Generally that’s why you keep faith in somebody. It’s difficult when you have options and these are tough decisions.
*
“We’re certainly in a better position with regards to the squad and we haven’t been in this position where you’re having to leave good players out of the squad and out of the 18.
*
“It’s a good position to be in, we need that and we will get some injuries at some stage. You always want that sort of problem as opposed to the ones earlier in the season.”

The Albion manager is also urging his side not to get carried away from consecutive 4-0 victories.
*
“In this division you can’t [get carried away] and what you always have to remember is that before these two 4-0 victories, we lost 4-1, so that can happen and you always have to be guarded.
*
“But if you can’t get confidence from these last two performances, then you never will do.”
*
Hughton is also pleased with the good blend of youth and older heads within the squad, as Albion’s push for promotion gathers momentum.
*
“If you look at the team last night, Connor Goldson has come in and done very well.
*
“We’ve got two relatively young centre-halves, but we’ve got a good an experienced goalkeeper and both full-backs have got good experience.
*
“There are two players in centre midfield that are experienced and [Anthony] Knockaert has been here and done it before.
*
“Tomer is 28 years of age. There’s a good mix in the team, with [Jiri] Skalak and [Steve] Sidwell coming on.
*
“That experience means they’re used to being in pressurised positions where they’re used to going for something. That helps.”
