The Rampion ? Should be on the South Downs with a name like that. On second thoughts...

Ah yes, cheers. Now you mention it I can just about pick out what may be individual turbines alongside it.

Hard to believe that people campaigned against this on the grounds that it would spoil the view.

I don't think any campaign against was listened too. What you can see are the bases. The cut road in the chalk going up from Shoreham to Truleigh Hill, for services, is a novel use of National Park status. Hopefully this will be allowed to grow over. They are more visible from the Downs. Nice little earner for Prince Charles as the Monarchy owns any off shore site.

What an intolerable eyesore.

yeah, rather a desolate view of sea with a few cargo ships from time to time.

seaviews are greatly overrated.

I've always thought offshore wind farms look great in a progressive, forward-thinking type of way. I'm sure this wind farm will look great when the sun is low on a clear summers day.

Absolutely. And it is ALWAYS windy, so it should generate enough electricity to keep the whole country powered up.

Should have been on the Downs.
What is going up on the Downs?
A massive access road is cutting across north of Worthing/Shoreham.
Does it all link up with the similar road north of Bognor/Littlehampton?
