Albion's forgotten man Danny Holla has been praised for his professionalism.
The Seagulls' Dutch midfielder is in limbo after missing out on a loan move in January, not featuring in Chris Hughton's first team plans and not turning out for the under-21s as an over-age player.
Hughton told The Argus: "He's been excellent. He trains well every day, a very good professional.
"He does that because he knows that even when you least expect to get an opportunity it might happen. You never know.
"He has been out of things. I have favoured others and if there had been that good opportunity for him to go out on loan in January then we would have used that but it didn't happen."
Holla has made 25 Championship appearances for the club, launched by an impressive debut against tomorrow night's*visitors Leeds in August 2014, and only one in the last ten months.
Hughton said of the inactivity of the 28-year-old, under contract until the end of next season: "It's just getting that balance in under-21 games with the group coming through.
"Jayson Molumby has played a good few games in the under-21s now and we're really delighted with him.

"Danny is training very hard and although he is not playing games we are very much making up for it on the days he trains and on days he comes in to do extra when perhaps some of the others are off."
