Anthony Knockaert has been backed to help Albion to the Premier League and be a hit there

ANTHONY KNOCKAERT has been urged to be a top-flight hit – by the veteran French coach who helped shape his professional career.
The Albion wideman is preparing to face the club who could have signed him from the French lower leagues as his side chase a fourth successive home win.
Leeds, who visit the Amex on Monday, passed up the chance to take a youthful Knockaert more than seven years ago after spotting him at French minnows US Lesquin.
Eric Blahic, who put in hours of extra training with Knockaert at Guingamp, believes he can help the Seagulls to the Premier League – and make an impact there.
Knockaert has had two unsuccessful stints in the top flight, with Leicester in England and Standard Liege in Belgium.
Guingamp and former Paris St-Germain coach Eric Blahic told The Argus: “I think he is at the limit between the two – Championship and Premier League.
“But he can be a success in the Premier because he is a real team worker.
“I’d love to see it happen. He can give a huge amount for a coach and a club.
“When Anthony has the trust of the people around him he is very good player.”
