I've been having a play and have made up a speadsheet with all top6 remaining fixtures on it. My predictions show us coming 4th :
Played Points Games left Max points projected total
Hull 32 63 14 105 26 89
Burnley 33 62 13 101 25 87
Boro 31 61 15 106 29 90
BHA 33 60 13 99 23 83
Weds 33 54 13 93 22 76
Derby 32 54 14 96 19 73

If anyone wants to play with it, the spreadsheet is here :

I have us finishing 5th.

Hard to predict Hull dropping many points. Battle for 2nd and 3rd will be tight. I also had Derby to finish 4th, but did (hopefully) over score the other teams.

projected total
Hull 103
Burnley 95
Boro 95
Derby 83
BHA 82
Weds 80

Looks very sensible. Have had a suspicion for some time we would end up playing SW in PO.

Not sure if you're being optimistic here or not!

So you don't think we'll lose again this season, but you think we'll only win 5 more games?

It's grim oop north
I think if you add 3 points fo revery win we get and 1 point for each draw from now until the end of the season, plus our current points will be EXACTLY our finishing total.

i.e - 2nd place :)

Top 2 is still WIDE OPEN.

I think we're going to win 8 or 9 more games, drawing 2 or 3, losing 1 or 2. To have Hemed back scoring, Baldock scoring on his return, Murphy on fire, Knockeart in, Rosenior back and Bong not far away. I'm a-buzzin' I am!

Burnley and hull are both on excellent runs. I expect them to have a sticky patch like we did, boro have and Derby. Let's hope so anyway!

We are, and have always been, a bunch of softies that play far better on nice pitches in nice weather. Hence March - May tend to bring plenty of points.

I cant see past Hull and Middlesboroughs games in hand, if they win those I think us and the rest are jockying for playoff positions.

Blimey.

You're not expecting many defeats amongst the top 6 before the end of the season, are you? Not even when they play each other.

I think there will be many more dropped points than that along the way. It's going to be exciting.

I have it pretty much as it is now with just Boro and Burnley swapping places and Hull winning it with 2 games to spare.

I reckon Birmingham will take 6th from Derby, too. It would be good to add them to the spreadsheet.

From the spreadsheet, my final placings are:

Hull 98
Boro 91
Burnley 88
BHA 83
Weds 75
Derby 72

I can't help thinking we will need something at Boro , also could easily go to goal difference the way the table is.
