It is a David v Goliath battle tonight as leaders Derby County face off against the bottom side Albion at the national football centre. The Rams smashed the Seagulls 4-0 in the reverse fixture at the Lancing training ground back in October.

How many of the players in the Albion squad look like they could make the breakthrough to the senior side? Genuine question, as we seem to be whipping boys at the moment. I know this is our first season competing at this level so maybe that is the problem, or are we going to have to up the quality of the players we are signing. Most of that squad are fairly recent signings aren't they?

Molumby is a first-year scholar; Tilley, Vose and White are second-years [actually Tilley and White have signed as pros but they are all the same year].

Hunt, Barnett, Rea, Barclay and Hutchinson have all come through as scholars.

Walton was signed 3 years ago, Kandi 18 months ago, Starkey two and a half years ago.

Only Harper, Bjordal, Ayunga and Ward have been signed this season.

The home club will always be the ones who do the twitter updates (I can't imagine many clubs will send a media person to provide updates from an away U-21 game).
