The Albion Roar
97.2FM
From 8am onwards on Saturday 5 March, Radio Reverb 97.2FM is hosting its ninth annual Reverbathon - broadcasting 18 hours of uninterrupted, diverse live radio for the city of Brighton & Hove. (Shows on most stations are often pre-recorded).
Due to the nature of community radio, we cannot accept advertising, so Radio Reverb 97.2FM - which needs funding to pay for licences, rent, rates, training, publicity and so on - can only accept sponsorship and kind donations to continue its existence.
The station is run entirely by volunteers, and is ad-free, with no pre-determined playlists, and offers The Albion Roar total editorial independence meaning we can bring you the best, most relevant Albion-themed chit-chat, gossip, opinion and unsubstantiated rumour on the airwaves. We know you listen across the world, and we’re grateful for your support and kind words.
Over the past year alone, we've had great guests on, including former players Adam Virgo, Paul Rogers, John Keeley, John Templeman, Andy Rollings, Jake Robinson, plus various people from the BHAFC Women's team, Albion In The Community, and regular fans. Not forgetting we had a great time hosting the show with Paul Hayward and Nick Szczepanik in front of a theatre audience.
For the Reverbathon, The Albion Roar is on live as usual at 12pm for an hour of football and music, and we’re asking for you for help.
We’re asking for a donation to help keep Radio Reverb 97.2FM - this wonderful, diverse, lively radio station for the city of Brighton & Hove - on the air. If you wish to help the station continue broadcasting, then please make a donation. Just go to www.radioreverb.com, and on the home page, hit the DONATE button.
Thank you in advance, you lovely people.
Cheers, Ady & Al
