Blimey...5,500 fans for a middle of the season game.
Fortunately for us they lost, but that us mightily impressive numbers.

My best memories of Sheffield are seeing Comsat Angels there a few year ago (reunion gig) and Icon of Coil. Both times at the United end of town. My visit to the home of the biggest club in the world was Meh. Hillsborough is like an old boot, inherited from a relative who has feet much bigger than mine (or theirs).
Wednesday were one of the form teams over the ten games previous to today, so no surprise they took those numbers.
Let's see if we take 5.5k at MK?
Not to mention the M25 etc75 miles from Sheffield to Preston , Brighton to Milton Keynes is 116 miles , that's about 40 miles further , but I expect good support up there

Went to Crawley today to meet up with my godson who is a devout Plymouth Argyle fan......there were over 1500 of them there in a crowd of 3500. Quite remarkable.
Don't know if Wednesday have played at MK Dons but it's a similar distance for both them and us, might be a better comparison. I'd like to think we'll take at least 4,500. Charlton could be a big away following as well if we're still in with a shout, we sold it out last year when we were struggling.
I used to visit Sheffield a lot, staying with a mate who relocated there for away games. It's a brilliant city.
I saw a few gigs, my favourite being The Clash supported by Mikey Dread. Memorable.
