The only reasons i can think of is that unlike a league game you are not finished in the competition if you lose, and secondly the higher league fans do not like losing to lower league teams. No excuse but these might be the reasons.

Some people must just lose all reason. Of course we're all annoyed if we lose, but it really is only a game for FFS. And Chris Brunt has been a very loyal servant to West Brom for many years. Hope the tw*t gets banned for life and charged with assault.

Judging by the photos on the bbc website this morning, they have a number of likely moronic suspects who continued to hurl abuse at him despite his injury. Police say they will prosecute - I hope the idiot gets jailed and banned from footie for life.
