...I know. It would probably have been better for all of us if they had never turned up at all.

It has taken a while to rediscover anything like the power of speech or other communication after that first half. Gifting a poor team three goals really is some other game, not football. Weather atrocious, match terrible, performance dismal. Cardiff won't beat anyone else like that all season, all their Christmases come at once.

But there some lighter moments:

Met some pals after sneaking off work in Cardiff for a couple of hours
Enjoyed the Brains from 3-0 down.
Very impressed with the away following and vocal support, put Cardiff to shame even given the team's display.
About five minutes of hope before Knockaert? blazed over and the ref gave them a dodgy pen.

All in all, a very, very strange afternoon at the football.

Thank God I didn't end our family half-term holiday in Carmarthen with a trip to the football, passed Cardiff at 11.00am and kept on driving. One of my better calls.
