Very sad news as he's a smashing bloke.I chatted with him about 6 months ago at the BP garage in Woodley near here and was so funny and upbeat.

Sad news indeed. I have to say I didn't realise that he was 77, the same age as Terry Wogan who passed away a few weeks ago.

To me magicians are wonderful people. They have a magic about them, pun intended, and restore the child in us if we're prepared to go with it. I love them for that!
Paul Daniels is a British institution and must surely have been a great inspiration for the brilliant young magicians that have emerged in recent years. Doesn't appear to take himself too seriously and Debbie McGee seems down to earth too, taking that classic Mrs Merton joke in fantastic spirit. I feel for them both with this sad news.
