Albion boss Chris Hughton has a big call to make at Cardiff today as he lays his promotion cards on the table.
Does he stick or twist, with the chance for his side to go level on points with Hull at the top of the table if they win?
Hughton used on-loan Steve Sidwell to good effect as an extra midfielder in Tuesday’s creditable 0-0 draw at Hull.
He has plenty of attacking options to switch back to two strikers in the clash between the draw specialists in the Welsh capital (12.30).
Bobby Zamora, Sam Baldock and Czech newcomer Jiri Skalak were all on the bench at Hull. On-loan James Wilson could be back from injury today as well.
The Hull stalemate was Albion’s tenth out of 15 away in the league.
Cardiff have drawn seven of their 15 home games and six of the last eight meetings between the clubs have ended in deadlock, so everything points to another close encounter of the Championship kind.

Hughton said: “If you are on the back of a good result, do you take the same team, the same formula? They’re always the things that come into your mind but it’s about those players playing well enough in a formation to get a result. It’s certainly good to have the options we’ve got right now.“Of course we would rather win more games away from home but generally that’s easier said then done.
“At three of the best teams in this league in Derby, Burnley and Hull we’ve managed to get draws. We want more wins but it’s tough.”
