Albion Bonus Scheme for Club Staff

Apologies if fixtures, but it seems that Tony Bloom intends to share the spoils with the staff if the club get promoted this season (according to The Argus):

This is a great move by the club, and one of the many, many reasons that I'm really proud to support us at the moment.

A house or a car. That's a huge bonus. Judging by the way the catering staff change every week I guess they are not included.

I believe the match day staff have to work a minimum number of fixtures to.qualify

I trust they will recognise the absolutely CRUCIAL role undertaken by the people who write for the programme. Without them, the club would still be FLOUNDERING.

Well its a great idea to reward club employees if we get promoted, and well done to the club for that, but I found this bit of the article to be distinctly odd:

"The unusual bonus scheme, linked to the team’s performance, is the result of an in-depth review by chairman Tony Bloom and chief executive Paul Barber into what went wrong last season when the Seagulls were nearly relegated."

Bit unfair to attach any of the blame for last season's debacle to the cleaners IMHO.

I read that as meaning that there was an air of negativity about the club last season and this was one way to try get rid of that. I am not saying that this is the reason, but the transformation this season is remarkable.

Hmmm, not sure about this, paying people more for something they have no control over rather than just giving them a fair wage? (I'm not saying they don't already give them a fair wage)

I still have a suspicion that Season Ticket prices will drop for existing holders when we are promoted. This is just a hunch, but TB does come across as an extraordinarily generous man and may be just the sort of thing he would do.

The Argus report does say that a lower end bonus would be sufficient to pay for a dream holiday and as a dream holiday costs, what, £3000, the figures up the line are likely to be generous.
