Well, at least a shot at the newly-crowned IBF Champion (the belt stripped from Tyson Fury) Charles Martin, who won it on the recent Deontay Wilder bill the when his opponent injured his leg and couldn't continue.

Fight is at the o2 on the 9th of April.

Good move from Eddie Hearn. Won't be an easier shot at a world title for some time. AJ will win this and hide behind the title for a few fights whilst learning.

Strange opponent and location for Martin to choose. Joshua will probably beat him, based on what I saw in the recent title fight. Martin is a very average heavyweight.

Makes sense for Joshua he will more than likely win, have a few easy defences but will almost certainly lose to Fury and Haye if stepped up.

I can sense from this and past posts you are not a fan of PPV and the Eddie Hearn circus

It's a PLASTIC title as the REAL world champion is Tyson Fury, he won't even be BEST Heavyweight in England if he wins let alone the world. Just another Eddie Hearn rip the fans off and make them pay for the boxing on PPV

Here's an idea.

Don't pay for it.

AJ will win the title and then David Haye will win it off of him and then hopefully tell Fury to go fish for a unification. So that he only has a version of it, that is if he doesnt lose it in the rematch.

If Joshua were to win, Haye wouldn't get anywhere near him in the short term, as Ernest said Hearn would hand pick opponents for as long as he could.
