Useless - Depeche Mode (Kruder and Dorfmeister sessions mix) - DM were in the pile of first singles I bought and this is my favourite from them. The remix is unbelievably good.
Loaded - Primal Scream- got me in to raving
Feeling Good - Nina Simone - I could listen to her voice all day, perfect for being on a desert island and keeping your spirits up
Love Is Lost - David Bowie (Hello Steve Reich Mix by James Murphy) - the track that I'm playing non stop currently
I Wanna go to Marz - John Grant - because it makes me drool and feel good all over
Fools Gold - The Stone Roses - to dance to
Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings - to chill to

i can't speak for the others but I'd want music to take me to listening or dancing nirvana and temporary oblivion. Not remind me of the fact I was never going to see my favourite football team in the flesh again.
