They’ve shown really good courage on the pitch."

Team news: “Gordon [Greer] will train next week, so he’s not available this weekend. Sam Baldock has trained this week and came through fine. Liam Rosenior trained for the first time on Thursday, which is a big plus for us.
“We’re hoping that Gaetan [Bong], will train on Sunday and there are a few others that are getting quite close.* Bobby has trained a bit this week and is fine.

Goldson and Dunk: “It certainly bodes well for the club to have two centre-halves of their age.
*
“With Lewis [Dunk], he’s very much been a mainstay and did ever so well for us last season and scored a lot of goals. He has had a couple of difficult periods, but has come through them.
*
“Connor [Goldson] came in early this season and hadn’t had too much first-team action, with Gordon and Uwe [Huenemeier] both being fit for that period of the season, but he’s come in and done really well.
*
“That’s a testament to him because he trains very well and if you’re someone that trains and prepares well, then you’ve got a better chance of playing. It’s a great example for players who may think
they’re out of team for a while and suddenly, you’re playing. He’s done very well.”

LATEST NEWS FROM*SEAGULLS.CO.UK*

Phil Gartside’s passing: “Everyone here at the football club sends their condolences to Phil’s [Gartside] family. I met him on numerous occasions at games and he was always very good company and it was a shock to hear. The threat posed by Bolton: "It has been a difficult time for them off the pitch, but in those circumstances you sometimes see the team coming closer together. They’re in good form and they have got a good manager who is a passionate man and that’s shown in their recent results. They’ve shown really good courage on the pitch.”
Importance of the Brentford result: “It was pleasing to get the three goals and we should’ve got even more. The team has bounced back well and I can honestly say that only the Rotherham game was where we didn’t deserve to get anything. If the players can keep pushing and doing their best, then hopefully we can continue to get good results.”
