Brighton & Hove Albion are once again proud to show their support for the Football v Homophobia campaign at this Saturday’s match against Bolton Wanderers at the Amex.
All the players and staff at Brighton & Hove Albion are committed to standing up against any form of discrimination, which includes homophobia. "

Football v Homophobia is an international initiative opposing homophobia in football. Endorsed by the FA, its goal is to tackle homophobia and prejudice against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in grassroots and professional football.David Stockdale

Albion will actively raise awareness for the campaign in the build up to Saturday’s match on social media, the big screens inside the stadium and in the matchday programme.Goalkeeper David Stockdale said, "All the players and staff at Brighton & Hove Albion are committed to standing up against any form of discrimination, which includes homophobia.

Albion in the Community (AITC) are also showing their support for the campaign and previously introduced anti-homophobia workshops, adding to the charity’s wider anti-discrimination work with local schools.

AITC will hold a Football v Homophobia tournament in Seaford next month for teams made up of players from the free Premier League Kicks football sessions, which the charity runs each week across Sussex.

The Premier League Kicks programme is one of AITC’s undoubted success stories and sees the charity provide free football for young people in some of the most-disadvantaged areas of the south coast.

As well as football, the sessions include off-the-pitch guidance and support in a variety of issues, including anti-homophobia awareness.Meanwhile, a number of Albion's boys and girls academy players will take part in a special Football v Homophobia workshop this week as part of their educational development.
