Hope he does a really good job for them especially against Hull, Burnley, Middlesbrough, Wednesday :lolol: and Derby.

That must be a first !! Maybe he is more ITK than we give him credit for !

Just quicker to pick up on a bit of gossip (on Twitter not Football Rumours) but at least wasn't deterred from going on record including the suggestion that it could be good for us despite the mauling he gets on here :lolol:

BG called it first (on here) in fairness - a couple of days ago.

PA has been calling it for days - one of their journos is a big Millers fan.

As with Evans, it's a strange fit. RUFC will always be a family club unsuited to twerpish managers. It might have been their fans who came up with the Colin Waanker acronym - there was nowt better, about ten years ago, than watching Colin's histrionics when Rov would occasionally put one over on Sheff Yoo. I get the feeling Tony Stewart sees himself as a maverick and equates that with appointing divisive managers, which is always destined for doom as they end up clashing egos.

The strangest part of it might be that they are apparently paying off Nicky Eaden - signed as Assistant Manager on a 2.5-year contract last Thursday - so that Colin can bring in Blackwell. Whatever happens, Colin is unlikely to stay until next season as his media fees are lucrative, so you can imagine them having to pay off Blackwell if he guides them into the bottom half at the start of next season.
