I spread the good word SASTA around a lot now and hopefully it will catch on.

WFH tomorrow, there is a certain USA sporting event to watch later on.

Jesus Christ. Now they're throwing in the towel before the bad weather has even started. Total joke.

So it's not a sensible idea then to have speed restrictions in case of hitting fallen trees?

I know you lot aren't happy unless you have something to moan about re the trains.

But the weather tonight is absolute shithouse. The ground is absolutely soaked after a very wet winter, and we're facing extremely high winds tonight. Trees are likely to come down. How is that Southern Rail's fault? Are they supposed to get Network Rail to cut down every tree on every route in order to prevent debris from getting on to the line?

(Presumably in order to do this, they'd have to close lines and run a replacement bus service).

Everything that ever happens is Southern's fault. Everything. Everywhere. They have bought it on themselves!

Maybe ask HT how they do it in Germany ? Because apparently this never happens there (or maybe instead of naming them, they've banned storms) :)
