Brighton & Hove Albion women’s manager James Marrs says his players are relishing the prospect of facing Oxford United in the third round of the SSE Women's FA Cup on Sunday.

Marrs feels the game will be a good gauge of how far the team has come against the Women’s Super League 2 side.
*
He said, “We’re looking forward to it and quite excited because it’s the FA Cup. It’s more about the occasion this week, but from the players’ and coaches’ point of view, we’re hoping to get a good result.
*
“It will be a good indication of where we are as a set-up and I’m sure it will be a good, competitive match.
*
“The players are feeling fresh; we had an extra session last week and I’ve given them an extra weekend off.
*
"It’s the psychological benefit more than anything and the players look hungry. The competition for places is high and we’re in good shape at the minute."
*
Albion bowed out against another WSL 2 team, Watford, in round three of the cup last season and Marrs says the side would have taken plenty from that tie.
*
“We learned last year that you can’t make mistakes against teams from a higher league, because they will punish you.
*
“We’re aware of that and tactically we’ll be more astute than we were last year and we’ve done a lot more analysis of them compared to Watford last year.
*
“Our preparation has been a lot better and we now know what we need to do to win the game.”
*
Albion (probable squad): Faye Baker, Vicky Ashton-Jones, Catherine Cooper, Emily Baker, Deanna Cooper, Amelia Ritchie, Jay Blackie, Kirsty Barton, Lucy Somes, Charley Boswell, Sophie Perry, Kate Natkiel, Amy Taylor, Charlotte Gurr, Jade Widdows. The match takes place at the Sussex County FA Headquarters at Culver Road, BN15 9AX on Sunday 7th February, kick-off 2pm.
