The Labour Party is launching a "listening tour" of the UK to help re-write its immigration policy.

Apparently the Labour Party is unaware of peoples concerns surrounding the immigration issue.

What would you like to tell them? What would you like their immigration policy to look like at the end of this process?

I would tell them to get a proper leadership team and replace the clowns

Fair point actually on reflection it's pointless telling them anything.

This Leadership team will never be in a position to implement anything.

Even if by some miracle they were elected any UK government's immigration policy is completely undermined as long as we're in the EU (free movement etc).

This isn't about developing policy it's all about kicking an issue they are on the wrong side of/daren't face up to into the long grass. When campaigning for the May elections they can tell anyone who raises this issue on the doorstep that they are keen to listen but nothing has been decided yet. After elections revert to open door immigration policy damn the consequences.

oh, how cynical. but yeah probably on the money, as there's nothing they will hear that isn't already well known. if they wanted to make a record of the current national view, you'd think they could just a meeting among the PLP to gather feedback, as im sure each MP knows how it plays on their doorsteps.

I doubt very much that anything I said would interest Jeremy Corbyn. He is running the Labour Party like the geography department of a 1980s comprehensive. All tweed jackets, roll ups and copies of socialist worker.

Exactly.

Corbyn's new type of politics is all about giving the appearance of listening and then continuing with the same old dogmatic solutions which as you suggest were more relevant to and rejected in the early 80's.

What a waste of time and money, for one it is not as if they would listen, if hear anything they don't like and to top that it makes no difference if we stay in Europe because they decide.

We want to understand what the people think bullshit.... really..... do not insult us then by making people believe this will make a blind bit of difference, just jumping on the back of a big story/ issue when they know they are getting no headline space at the moment...

Yet another gimmick PR stunt. You can tell the people who ran the election strategy haven't gone anywhere.

The Labour leadership should perhaps look at one downside of immigration. Foreign cultures/religious teaching/practises importing intolerance and misogynistic behaviour.

Muslim women 'stopped from becoming Labour councillors'

A Muslim women's group has written to Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn claiming women have been stopped from becoming councillors by Muslim men in the party.

Muslim Women's Network UK demanded an inquiry into "systematic misogyny displayed by significant numbers of Muslim male local councillors".

"They don't like women to be heard, to be empowered," it told BBC Newsnight.

Well this has to be a joke!

The party responsible for a ridiculous open door immigration policy for all the years they were in power that has caused the immigration problem and the party 'clever' enough to sign the country up to the Human Rights Act that then stops us deporting them back to where ever, even when they have committed utterly disgusting crimes here because it's their rights to this that and the other but fvck the victims rights or the victims families rights eh!

Now they want to know what people really think?

Don't make me laugh.....they will only want to hear from 'Do Gooders' fresh from helping the 'economic migrants'....or asylum seekers in their eyes in Calais, because they are all victims and the current government is 'Cruel' or 'Shameful' (or whatever over the top pathetic descriptive they like to use) because we haven't rolled out the tax payer red carpet for them!
Or the 'Let them all in brigade' who think the tax payer should pay for all of them to live in the houses (that we don't even have enough of for the current population, who are actually from or live in this country) and also pay for their family to join them later because if we don't it might offend their human rights!

But remember, what ever you do, don't call them "A bunch of migrants" because the supreme leader of the party that wants to know what we think about immigration will roll out the 'It's so offensive bandwagon' and write you a strongly worded letter! Because you are only allowed think what they want and if you don't you are 'cruel', 'shameful' and 'rascist'!!!

You mean they'll listen like Cameron will listen when people tell him his EU concessions are sh|t?

Exactly, if you thought I was a true blue, sorry to disappoint you. I don't hold any political party over another, I genuinely think all parties lie to us, or at worse believe what they say, until they are in power and then realise their hands are tied and just can not deliver their promises, then instead of being honest they just bullshit and take us for fools....
