Loads on Amazon or eBay (although the Steepletone ones at £39.95 are likely to be as much use as a Harry Moss car radio) Some come with USB playback. You don't have to spend a fortune but I'd spend at least £100 for something that will last.

I was going to suggest one of these for the authentic sound of the 33/3. Jnr. skipper has one ( his Mum has traded a few on Ebay. I can see why.)

I picked up a Technics SL-Q30 a while back on eBay for about £70. It's an 80's model and is great. This is the closest I find on there at the moment-

Depends what you want out of them I've got a 1953, 1958 and a 1962 (first stereo I think) Dansette
Agree. I got a pro-ject essential 2 for Christmas. Attached it to a pioneer pdx-z9 and some B&W speakers which I already had. Put on some old LPs on that I had and was blown away by the sound. Having listened to compression files and cds for so long, I could not believe how good the sound quality was.

Yep, the standard recommendation for anyone just getting into hi-fi separates with a turntable.
