Brighton factually.....
SUSSEX may have narrowly avoided a terrorist attack after the RAF intercepted suspicious chatter between commercial airline pilots, it has been claimed.
The suspected jihadist attacks on Brighton, London, Ipswich and Bath were being planned shortly after the Paris massacre, it was reported.

The two pilots, who were leaving Amsterdam's airport Schiphol for a Middle Eastern country, used coded language which made reference to pop music, a national newspaper said.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence said they did not comment on matters of national security.
The paper said although the pilots used coded messages from the cockpits of their passenger jets, the Arabic transcripts were passed to GCHQ where spies established they were talking about the attacks.
The pilots were said to be unknown to authorities but believed to be sympathetic to Islamic State. ?? Is it just me or is this just odd

Their words were reported to be coded with musical references, referring to words like “hits” and references that a song would “climb up the charts”.
This is believed to be a veiled reference to increases in jihadi recruits once the attacks had happened.
The pilots were said to be unaware that Channel 121, the Mayday channel used to broadcast emergencies which they were using, was being monitored.
The conversation was reportedly intercepted by RAF operators based at the National Air Traffic Services (NATS) Control Centre in Hampshire.

Neither aircraft was intercepted and the pilots were allowed to fly on to their destinations.... :glare: I do not get this, None sympathizers are allowed to fly passenger planes ?

Their identities are known to security services and it is understood they are now high-profile, watchlist targets, according to the paper.
It was reported that the captured conversations had a part in increasing security in the UK.

One hundred and 30people were killed in Paris on November 13 in a series of attacks across the capital.
This included 89 at the Bataclan theatre, where the American band Eagles of Death Metal was playing to an audience of around 1,500 people. Another 368 people were injured.
Terrorists took hostages before engaging in a stand-off with police.

It just shows that we should all be a bit more vigilant as you never know who is planning what and where.
