Catching Hull

They play 8 of the top 11 in their next 10 league games over February & March. They got lucky with Fulham as the lethal McCormick did a Bridcutt. It's about time their luck changed. A dip in form would be most welcome, especially on the 16th Feb.

Let's see how long Middlesbrough's 'dip' lasts first, eh?

Very catchable, but let's not throw it away in our next 2 home games.

So the team on 55 points have to effectively lose 2 x more games than us, the teams above are Hull and 'Boro, not that catchable.
'Boro with a game in hand too, there's a possibility that we could be in 4th spot by the end of today as well.

We will be 4th no matter what the result is tomorrow

Beating Hull on the 16th Feb will help. 2 games ago I would have said that 'boro were out of reach, but not anymore. Anything can happen in this league.
I agree, but a draw at Hull would not be a disaster for catching them either.

Need to beat Brentford, and Bolton and then we can look at the table, and maybe be a little closer to Hull and Middlesbrough than some assume.

We're closer to dropping out of the play offs than autos. How many times have we beaten Brentford in the league in the last 10 attempts ?

We have to win the next six games in a row to be on 2 points per game.

There's far more pressure on boro, hull and Derby than us...so expect a few hiccups along the way as usual.

Agreed. It's ALWAYS better to come from behind. B-Muff last year and Reading in 2011/12 our two examples. If the new striker we hopefully sign has the same effect on the team as Knockers, we are in for a very exciting couple of months indeed.

Agreed. Derby are already in meltdown with the chairman having a proper shout in the dressing room. Imagine if they lose to Burnley - total implosion ? [emoji38]ol:

I am waiting till Easter to see where we are and what the prospects are, everybody seems to be taking points of each other at present and we had a dip along with Hull now Derby / Borough are having theirs

On this basis no team would have been able to catch us when we were well clear a month or two back. The reality is that all we can do is keep winning and picking up points then see if the others can hack the pressure. 5 points isn't a big gap at this stage.
