He was and maybe still is a good championship midfielder. But midfield is not theproblem, its defenders who dont know how to stay on their feet when tackling and make ridulous comedy errors with regularity plus a strike force where our only forward who can score goals cant play 90 minutes, so shouldnt those areas be first up for improvement?

Would be a great signing. We need another CM, because without Stephens or Kayal we are in big trouble. Not convinced any of the fringe players are good enough to fill in for either, but Sidwell definitely is.

Would be a good loan for the rest of the year to cover Kayal and Stephens, bit of a shame for Crofts.

Crofts just doesn't seem to contribute much to the attacking side of our game. OK for breaking up play, but not much good after that.

Crofts is finished and Towell has been playing in the league of Ireland. Neither are suitable cover if we lose Stevens or Kayal for a period of time.
