Billy Connelly just given a lifetime award thing.

Blimey he looks a shadow of the man I saw down in brighton many years ago. Seemly Parkinson's disease has got him and he looks very frail.

Still very sharp comic, even tonight.

Apart from his and Peter Kay's bit, it ain't half rubbish mum.

Shame.
Billy Connolly has insisted he isn't afraid of dying as he refuses to let his Parkinson's disease get him down. The 72-year-old, who was diagnosed with the condition and prostate cancer the very same week in 2012, said he's taking a "let's get on with it"

Very sad to see him fading physically, if not mentally. It's the bloody awful thing about Parkinson's, the quick mind and wit are still in there but it's more of a struggle to get them out - Muhammad Ali is another case in point.

Fantastic comedian though, one of my all time favourites without doubt.

I've seen the 'Audience With...' show so many times I can virtually recite it by heart at this point.

Met him walking Brighton seafront when he was here, was that 8 years back or so? Any way, he was a big guy with a smile when I said hello. He stopped to talk to me and talked about the town.
