It seems to have gone unreported, but in the last couple of days the Asian and African Football Confederations (ACF and CAF), who together have 100 out of the 209 votes at the FIFA Congress, signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding'.

It would appear that any of the five candidates standing for the FIFA presidency next month would now have to deliver a deal that was good to the holders of this mega bloc of votes to have any chance of winning.

All the more reason why FIFA should be disbanded and a new governing body established.

Won't happen though, too many sticky fingers in the till.
