The second tie will be:

Number 12. That's the Malayan Sun Bear, a popular competitor who cruised through group D.

He'll be facing off against...

No 10, The African Elephant, who only booked his place in the last 16 a few minutes ago thanks to a nailbiting victory against the tardigrade in a head to head play off match.

Tie four will be:

Number 11, that's the salt water crocodile ho is, of course, the reigning champion.

He'll be squaring off against...
no. 3, the Grizzly bear. Grizzly is making his first appearance in the knock out rounds for a number of years.

Tie 6 will be number 16. Thats the Japanese Giant Hornet. The smallest beast left in the competition.

Against...

Number 7, Thats Honey badger. Three times finalist and self proclaimed 'peoples champion'.

Japanese Giant Hornet has a helluva fight on his hands if he wants to make the quarter finals.

And finally tie number 8 will be:

number 9, the Cassowary

against number 14, thats the former Champion hippo.

A real humdinger of a tie to close out our second round match ups.

That concludes the draw for the second round of WHC IX.

Get your arguments, pictures and videos ready for what promises to be another week of explosive WHC action.

Easy draw for the badger there.

Have the TV matches been decided yet?

I'm guessing:

Tie 5 - The closely matched big draw.
Tie 6 - Features the Honey Badger, the Leeds Utd of WHC TV fixtures.
Tie 4 - Reigning champion vs PLUCKY underdog.
