Not sure if fixtures, but the two links at the bottom of this post suggest that we're (along with a fair few other teams!) are interested in bringing him in on loan. Personally, i would think he'd be incredible signing for us and would give us that additional quality that could be the difference between a play off place and and automatic place. To be able to call upon McGeady, Knockaert, Murphy and Lualua would be absolutely fantastic! It does say he'd favour a loan move to the Premier League, but i'd put my trust in TB PB & CH to twist his arm a little. At the end of the day, he wants first team football to make sure he's in the Ireland squad for the euros.

Here we go. Brighton and LOAN Albion all over again.

I have to agree loans are not the way forward and if this was the summer transfer window I would rule this out; however, given that we have got to a position where we are challenging for Promotion, it would be foolish to sign someone on a 3 year contract if we felt that he would be good enough to help the promotion push but might not quite be good enough if we did get promoted

I have been saying this for ages the January window is best used for loans to get us into the promised land and then re evaluate when we are there in the summer. That is not to say if an obvious Premier quality player is available at the right price not to sign him. In general we will get better players on loan than we could hope to buy at a price that wouldnt break FFP if we didnt make it to the Premier
