Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton had no complaints after his side's 2-0 defeat to Rotherham United at the New York Stadium tonight.The Seagulls went down to goals in each half from Danny Ward and Matt Derbyshire, and Hughton felt the Millers were deserved winners.
He said, "It's the first time in our recent sequence of games where I felt we didn't deserve anything from the game; they were very good at what they did, were better than us, and we did not match them.
"We took too long to get into our stride. The first goal really hurt us, coming when it did and we needed to get through to half-time.
"We're on a poor streak at the moment; we are finding it difficult to get goals, but whatever the formula is to turn that around, it starts with hard work.
"We're going to need more from everybody, because the reason we started the season so well was because the team was playing well. It’s not just about the individuals, it's about the team playing well.
"It's a difficult period for us at the moment and we have to see the characters in the changing room. We have got them and they’ve shown that this season."

Meanwhile, Hughton admitted he felt for the Albion fans who'd travelled in good numbers to support their team on a cold night in Yorkshire."The first thing you think about after the game is for the players to go over to the supporters, because they've come a long way on a Tuesday night and will get back in the early hours of the morning.
"What they saw today, certainly in the first half, wasn't good viewing, especially as we've been so good for long periods of the season.
"The spirit we showed in the second half gave us a chance to get back into the game, but it's a difficult one for everyone at the moment.
"We need to turn things around and we’ll need that fabulous support again at Blackburn and through until the end of the season."
Hughton is also hopeful that skipper Gordon Greer was only suffering with cramp, and hasn't suffered a recurrence of the injury which ruled him out in recent weeks.
