As the title suggests, who would you guys have in your team of the amex era?

------------------------------Stockdale---------------------------------

--Bruno------------Greer----------Upson-----------------Bridge

-----------------------------Bridcutt----------------------------------

-----------------------Vicente------Kayal--------------------------

Buckley --------------------Ulloa-----------------------------Noone

Subs: PIG, Ward, Dunk, Stephens, Spanish Dave, KLL, Barnes

Tough on Calde, Orlandi and March, as for Bridcutt the manner in which he left clouded the fact that he was still outstanding for us, just edges out Stephens.

Ooooooh. good thread, this is going to take some thinking- I am already stuck on PIG or Stockdale for keeper.

I would have your front 5 but Kaz instead of Noone.

This season Stockdale has been far ahead of PIG in my opinion, his distribution has always been excellent but this year his overall standard has eclipsed PIG.

I went for Noone because this seems to be the first season (before his injury) that Kaz found true consistency.

I assume you're talking about each at their absolute best?

If we are then I'd have Kaz ahead of Noone, and Dunk ahead of Greer, but otherwise concur I think. Stockdale vs. Kusz each at their best is very tough.

.

You are right! Distribution is best I have ever seen from a keeper (this season).

most of the same players I suppose, but this is mine. No place for the sicknote Vicente :). Finding it hard to pick between Orlandi and Spanish for the last midfield spot, should probably just give it to Kayal but I've got Bridcutt in the distribution role and want more goals from midfield.

That would be my team too. Stockdale would edge PIG as Stockdale's distribution is better. I think the back 4 picks itself, the only change I'd make is having Kayal more alongside Vicente in a 4-1-4-1 formation.

Just three changes for me, Stephens for Bridcutt, LuaLua to edge out Noone, and l'd find room for Barnes, probably at the expense of Buckley.

Good thread though.

To NOT see that Kayal is a must-pick, you'd have to be living with monkeys in a forest somewhere.

Oh.

If we are going with the premise of the best that the players have played for Brighton at the Amex, then:

Stockdale - Edges PIG for this season as he has been fantastic, and his distribution has been phenomenal
Bruno - Not even in question
Dunk - Tough between him and Greer - but on his day Dunk has been incredible...
Upson - Without question the best CB we have had at the Amex
Bridge - Outstanding for most of that season
Stephens/Kayal - Best CM partnership in the division and edge out Bridcutt
Vicente - No words...
Buckley - On his day he was unplayable, and I was lucky to see quite of few of those days
Barnes - The glue - so consistent and just pips KLL because of that consistency and also his defensive attributes
Ulloa - Again, not in question

Subs: The Big Pole, Dunk, Ward, Calderon, Stephens, KLL, Buckley, Tex, Barnes.

I've got an extra sub as at least one of those players would be out injured for a sustained period of time (and I couldn't choose between my heart and my head with a couple).
