Liam Ridgewell*says Albion are “crying out” to be a Premier League club.
The versatile defender, with more than 250 top-flight appearances behind him for Aston Villa, Birmingham and West Brom, has been stunned by the training complex at Lancing after agreeing a loan move from MLS Cup winners Portland Timbers until mid-February.

Ridgewell, 31, told The Argus: “It’s second to none. My agents said to me wait until you see the training ground. The first day I came down here it was like ‘wow’.
“Every club I’ve been at they have always been promising a training ground and I’ve always been got rid of or left before they got it! So it’s nice to actually enjoy a new training ground. It’s crying out for Premier League football and to be a Premier League team.”
Ridgewell, back home from the States as left-back and centre-half cover with Gaetan Bong, Liam Rosenior and Uwe Huenemeier out injured until February, is ineligible for today's home game against Wolves.
