Really looking forward to this one that looks like justifying the C4 hype. Certainly, according to wiki, it seems to have had a highly favourable critical response in the US and also at various German TV/film festivals. Smart '80s soundtrack also apparently.

Really looking forward to this as I live in Germany and my partner is from the East so will be very informative. One of my favourite films is Goodbye Lenin and hoping this has a similar East - West theme as well

Quite enjoyed the first episode, tho not as much as I'd expected. Good-looking show, but requires a serious suspension of belief. 6/10

Having never been to Germany what I found striking was how similar some of the short phrases and sentences are to English, more so than French.

In the real world I would have thought that the series would have taken a different route during the party with the star arrested and either turned into a double agent or imprisoned for years.

Will see if it improves as it gets further into the story.
