Chris Hughton*is desperate for Albion to end their goal famine to revive their promotion challenge.
Last night’s 1-0 defeat by Ipswich at the Amex, after losing 3-0 to Middlesbrough in the previous home game, means the Seagulls have now gone five hours and five minutes without a goal.
Hughton told The Argus: “We are finding it difficult to get the goals we need to win matches and if you are not getting them then you have got to make sure you are keeping clean sheets. Certainly in the last two home games we’ve found that difficult.

“We probably couldn’t have done any more in the second half to try to get back in the game. We probably got in as many crosses in a half in the time I have been here.
“We’re just lacking finding a way to score a goal. That can be any way, a deflection, a real bit of quality. At the moment we’re finding it hard.”
Bobby Zamora hit the bar after coming off the bench in the second half along with James Wilson and Elvis Manu as Albion searched for an equaliser.
Hughton said: “We weren’t able to start Bobby, who will be better for the period of time he was on, and we weren’t able to start James because he was feeling poorly (on Saturday at Brentford) and we took him off, so it has hit us a little bit.
“With Bobby we are conscious we have to work him appropriately. There is no doubt he has served us very well, got goals, and he will continue to do so, but we have to be mindful how he trains, we have to look after him well.
“We need him available for as many games as possible so it’s a management one with Bob. James is a little bit different, he wasn’t feeling great.”
German centre-half Uwe Huenemeier has been added to Albion’s crippling long-term injury list with a groin injury sustained against Middlesbrough. Hughton said: “Uwe will be out for a considerable time, probably from the time that he did it for an eight-week period.”
