Storm Frank

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
It's a preposterous name.

Storm names should be apocalyptic and frightening, not named after somebody's dubious uncle who only comes round at Christmas to get drunk on somebody else's cheap sherry. :eek:

Storm Wendy FFS. :cute::flounce:

When did the UK start naming storms? Thought it was only the USA who named full on hurricanes?

Storm Nigel ? Does not exactly have the sound of potential destruction about it!

Indeed and Storm Wendy?

oooh Beaufort scale 2 max?

I am bunkered down in Blackwaterfoot, Isle of Arran and 'Storm Frank' is pretty wild out there. Force 6 I reckon and a bit of rain. Nowhere near as bad as down in the North of England /South of Scotland mind you. Heart goes out to those poor folk of Yorks/Lancs who are having even more sh!t thrown at them!
Bloody greens...none of this ever happened when they were not around....

Listening to the shipping forecast, seems that some areas will be getting hurricane strength winds.....fortunately the worst of the weather is above the north west of Scotland.
